What work is included—and what is not?

Before agreeing to work
Ask what will be done now, what may come later, and what it may cost.

Myth correction
A fast response does not replace a clear explanation of the work.
During immediate danger, leave and contact emergency services or the proper utility. Once it is safe to discuss the property, ask for a plain explanation of the immediate work and who may handle later repairs.

Ask whether employees, franchise personnel, or subcontractors may be involved and who is responsible for their work.
How will charges and added work be approved?
Ask how estimates, deposits, equipment charges, access, documentation, added damage, and stopping work are handled.
What should I confirm before work begins?
Confirm current availability, qualifications, insurance, licensing where applicable, written terms, and any statements about insurance coverage directly.
